What is vermeil?

The vermeil is made of precious metals, a 925 silver base covered with a thin layer of 18 carat gold of at least 5 microns. Each piece is then polished by hand to obtain a mirror shine. A material of choice for Charlotte Chesnais, both for its brilliance and its solidity.
